Shakeels brother in-law.He allegedly actively threatened businessmen until he was caught in Dubai and sent back to Mumbai.The police booked him under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the Malad land-grabbing case.Its the only case left against him.The Mumbai police dropped all extortion charges against him and Gujarat has dropped Pota charges in Godhra-related cases

Iqbal Attarwala

The event manager was booked in a cheating case,but was later acquitted.The close Shakeel aide was deported in 2006 and is now out on bail in the Malad land-grab case.He was booked under MCOCA,but those charges were dropped and now only Indian Penal Code charges remain

Md Salim alias Salim Fruit

A close associate of Shakeel,he was deported along with several other men illegally living without valid passports in Dubai

Farid Tanasa

A close aide of Chhota Rajan.Sources say he and associate Vicky Malhotra were deported from Nepal,but police maintained he was arrested in Delhi.Tanasa and Malhotra parted ways over a fight for supremacy in the gang

Has around a dozen cases pending against him,including serious offences like murder,kidnapping and extortion.Initially worked for the Dawood gang,but parted ways to form his own gang.Pending against him are cases involving the murders of Gulshan Kumar,Manisha Koiralas secretary Ajit Dewani and builder Pradeep Jain.Salem is the only one of the 23 who was not deported but extradited after a lengthy process between India and Portugal
