ACB vs Ex Labour minister Dhotre
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday regi-stered a case of Disproportion-ate Assets against a former Wel-fare Commissioner of the Mah-arashtra Welfare Board, Mohan Dhotre, his wife Swati and chil-dren Harshada and Yogesh for having disproportionate assets worth Rs 1.4 crore.
According to a complaint received by the ACB about Dhotre having amassed wealth disproportionate to his legal means of income, they carried out an investigation and found that Dhotre has several properties spread in various cities. He has bought houses in Pune and Mumbai, shops in Thane, farmland in Akola and has invested in the share market too. Along with him, his wife and children too were found to be knowing about his ill-gotten wealth and had got the properties registered in their names.
And as such a case was registered against them too. Dhotre’s total worth is found to be 366.85% more than what it should have been.
